The Paperworld brand has been exported to regions of importance to the sector around the world. The result is a global network of events that brings together demand and supply to the benefit of both exhibitors and visitors.
Paperworld China was launched in 2005 in response to great demand from the industry for a fair for stationery and office supplies on the Chinese mainland. 18,529 visitors from 104 countries attended the last event in November 2009. 516 exhibitors from 16 countries presented their products at the New International Expo Centre in Pudong, Shanghai.
The trade fair for stationery, office supplies, school products and artist’s equipment was launched in Hong Kong under the name Pen & Paper in 1996. It was later renamed the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair in 2001. The show is one of the region’s most important procurement platforms for office and school articles. Over 14,000 buyers from around 109 countries and around 243 exhibitors from 10 countries took part in the 2010 edition organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
A new member of the Paperworld family, Paperworld Middle East will be held for the first time in Dubai in 2011. It will be the first fair of its kind in the region and focus on the same product groups as Paperworld, the highly successful leading international trade fair for the sector in Frankfurt am Main.
Playworld Middle East is the region’s platform for toys, games, children’s furniture, etc. and will succeed the Middle East Toy Fair, which has been held in Dubai by Epoc Messe Frankfurt in Dubai since 2002. The first Playworld Middle East will be held parallel to Paperworld Middle East and Festivalworld Middle East as one of three new fairs in Dubai in 2011.
